Welcome to my website which sets out the range of my engraved glass. If you like what you see why not explore the gallery section by clicking on 'Gallery'. This contains a range of styles and subjects for you to view.

Most of my work is to commission hence I hold only a limited stock of finished pieces for sale. The Commissions page of the menu sets out the type of information I need in order to create the gift, presentation or even personal memento you require.

We have recently moved further west to Cornwall but can send any commissions double wrapped for safety.

I am also passing on my knowledge by teaching glass engraving.

If you do not find the information you are looking for then please click on my email address patricia@hilton-robinson.co.uk or use the CONTACT ME part of the website to send me a message.

Best wishes, Patricia

Architecture

I love engraving architechture although this does give a number of challenges as the refraction of the glass can distort what is a perfectly straight line when viewed through the glass. I have engraved a large number of houses to commission, either as a present from friends and family or simply as a keepsake. It is the equivalent of commissioning a painting of the property, although you can get a lot more detail in an engraving.

Cameo

I first fell in love with cameo engraving when I entered the 'Inspired by' competition run by the Victoria & Albert Museum, London. My entry 'Inspired by', shown in the Gallery below, was selected and exhibited at the V&A in 2003. It was this that first attracted me to the work of the Woodall brothers from Stourbridge.

Clear

My initial engraving was all on clear glass. Lead Crystal gives such vibrant results and enables a range of grey scale 'colours'. I compare engraving on lead crystal to carving butter whilst window pane glass is like concrete.
