Cameo
I first fell in love with cameo engraving when I entered the 'Inspired by' competition run by the Victoria & Albert Museum, London. My entry 'Inspired by', shown in the Gallery below, was selected and exhibited at the V&A in 2003. It was this that first attracted me to the work of the Woodall brothers from Stourbridge.
First is a series of cameos depicting endangered species. This view shows the harvest mice happy in their nest under the old fashioned harvest methods.
The vase was blown by Richard Golding of Okra Glass.
