Graal
The Graal technique, developed in Sweden in the early twentieth century, involves the engraving of an embryo of two or more colours which is then returned to the Glass Blower who reheats and then covers it with one or more gathers of clear glass. This is then blown to the final design shape.
This requires a close working partnership between the blower and the engraver.
